RNHeals Application Requirements

It has been a fact that thousands of our Pinoy nurses are leaving the country to work abroad and earn more. After taking their nursing board exams, they usually spend two years of working on local hospitals before applying to foreign lands where they will be paid many more times compared to what they get in the country.

However, this trend has caused the country to have too much nursing graduates who usually ends up either being unemployed or underemployed.

In response to the ballooning nursing graduates in the country and the need to have more medical personnel on many parts of the country, the government under President Aquino has launched the “RN HEALS” project or Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service. Through the Department of Health, the government aims to recruit more than 10,000 nurses to be deployed on various parts of the country.

Application for RNHeals started last January 17.

Those who were successfully accepted will given a monthly allowance of P8,000 through the DOH and the LGUs are also asked to add P2,000 more per month.

For those interested nursing graduates, you can visit the website of the Department of Labor and Employment website (http://www.dole.gov.ph). Interested applicants are to be screened by the DOLE and those who will be qualified will be given their areas of assignments.
